December 10, 2009   ·   kjohnson   ·   Jump to comments

Earlier this evening the crew from CKI finished laying out the kart track at the Orlando convention center. Tomorrow will be hectic for teams in any case and the weather may not help with a 40% chance of showers expected throughout the day. Rain or shine it will be a great event and PolePositionProductions.com looks forward to sharing interviews of the drivers and intense race action from the track. Look for a video clip update tomorrow of the high energy All-Star Karting Classic.

Formula One driver Vitantonio Liuzzi will compete in the Karting Classic alongside Graham Rahal (IRL), Buddy Rice (2004 Indy 500 winner and 2009 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona winner), Jamie McMurray (NASCAR) and Memo Gidley (Grand-Am) have already committed to compete in this year’s race. More than 20 drivers will be announced in the All-Star division. Rice will be racing for Tony Kart; Rahal for Birel; McMurray for CRG; and Gidley for Trackmagic.

The Performance Racing Industry tradeshow is billed as the world’s largest hardcore racing tradeshow with 1,200+ exhibitors and over 3,500 booths as well as seminars on latest engine innovations and race business management. Last year over 40,000 buyers from 61 countries attended the PRI tradeshow.
